It’s been coming for months, but yesterday the Slingbox officially went on sale in Australia.
You can grab your own Slingbox Solo, Slingbox Pro or Slingcatcher now from your local JB Hifi, Harvey Norman, Domayne or Good Guys now. The SlingLink Turbo 4-Port, which gives you four ethernet ports via powerline networking, will hit shelves in August.

Friday, June 19, 2009 at 4:14 PM@ Robert – Sorry, not sure on pricing, but I can tell you it works REALLY well (with TiVo I mean), the problem with a second TiVo box is that the content would be different on both boxes?
I have an iMac in the bedroom which can be used to watch shows via iTunes, DVD’s, TV via Slingbox RF input or TiVo via Slingbox AV input! Works a treat!
Now for Sling App for iPhone in Australia please?!?

Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:45 PMYikes, sounds expensive! As for 2nd TiVo, apparently the rip off $199 multimedia upgrade software for TiVo also lets one TiVo access the content of another TiVo on the network, so same content on either box… expensive, but only a little more than the Sling approach :(
