I tried sending a "free" sms and it got rejected due to lack of credit. So no free SMS here...

@Geph_knows_more: You might wanna look into that.
@tatublu: And yet...no push notifications yet. Come on, I was so excited to see Skype update last night and there isn't support for push notifications yet? Waa.
At least the app doesn't crash as much now.
ummm.... sms for free?
thought Skype charges for sms...

Great. I may try it.
@Geph_knows_more: Not true. Our company recently used several blackberry handsets from T-Mobile that only had data enabled and not voice. We used the data connection for email and web browsing. Skype could have been possible if we wanted to install it. Carriers are quite a bit more flexible to business customers.

Cool!
Setting it up now...
@Queyssel: I have one , want to buy it? @deanbmmv Skype now let's you"spoof" the caller ID to any number you want so your friends caller ID will display your current home or cell number.
BTW This update is also for the iPhone.

@Heliophage: Just tell them you already have voice through someone else but you'd rather have their data plan.
@Heliophage: Good thing no company offers phone service without voice included.
Mmm, circumventing service provider fees. It tastes as delicious as one would hope. I wonder if they'd be suspicious of someone only wanted their phone to have an internet data plan.
They also updated this for the iphone too it was yesterday same features sms and the other updates

@Queyssel: A mate did, loving it except not everyone answers the phone to "unknown". Though as most his call's are to Skype users anyway it doesn't matter. I don't think the woman at 3 quiet understand why he was so into the Skype, he's nearly cut his phone bill by 2/3
@32ndnote: I'm sure Brando has something that will let you do that in a clumsy, unintuitive way.
I think once I can video chat on my phone, I may finally justify the expense of going back to smartphone land... It's just not worth it until I can pretend like it's the future.
I find myself putting my shoes on so I can go to the nearest 3 store to get a skype phone.
