IPhone 3.0 Is Re-Allowing You To Re-Download Apps For Free

According to a lead developer at Apple—and a few tests run on the iPhone 3.0 to confirm—the inability to re-download previously purchased apps on iPhone 3.0 was just a bug. [Appadvice - Thanks Mahmoud!]
I installed 3.0 the other day, and found that ALL my apps had disappeared. (I hadn’t selected them to sync since upgrading to Win7).
I had no problem re-downloading them for free.
The re-downloading “bug” isn’t a bug at all, and it does exist in 3.0. Credit for this goes to the MacTalk Australia podcast: If you download a paid app to an iPhone and then change the iTunes account to someone else, then attempt to redownload or update it will give you this message.
