Yeah, i had the same thought while reading this.

When you mentioned that the a-team entered the dodgy puerto rican neighbourhood, i couldn’t help but visualise in my mind, 3 nerdy guys with some brand new macbook (was it actually a macbook?) in the thousand dollar price range underneath their arm. Seriously.

Although, while reading this, i did wonder why you guys just didn’t mark his apartment location, and not notified him, waiting for him to move the iphone off his own accord.
All you gave him was a street address – and if he was bright, he would’ve thought “wait, this is an apartment building. The signal doesn’t reach me, and it won’t give out unit numbers?” Your “We know where you are” text, could’ve really screwed things up.

sounds like a well written fiction to me.

if they were at a lego show (been nerds) they would have had a camera. Yet all they provide is screen caps.. which can so easily be faked.

but hey.. the main story right now is the “new iphone” so why not make some shit up to be feature on blogs.

You’re story is touching. I would have taken the Iphone and hocked it. Then wished it was the iphone 3GS and gotten more for it.

its a good result, but to be honest – i wouldnt have been surprised had all three of you been mugged when entering a dodgy neighbourhood chasing a criminal with a laptop under your arm..

given that you were at a lego convention i’d also hazard a guess that you aren’t exactly built like hulk hogans either..

pretty stupid thing to do but seeing as it worked out for you all.. awesome :)
