The response about not hooking up the rear speakers is particularly interesting because studies conducted last year by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) concluded that as many as 35% of people failed to hook up their rear speakers properly because they either lacked the skills or were concerned about aesthetics. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 4:06 PMhave had small yamaha 5.1 in a box setup for 3 yrs, i live in a tiny apartment and this system was only $150 2nd hand, i’ve never had it above 7/10 volume level and it continues to amaze me, soooo discrete and excellent clarity, bass levels are fairly low but thats ok, fills the room nicely. have had a lot of yamaha equipment and never had any complaints.
