Cooler Master Offers The Smallest 95W Laptop Adapter You Can Get
It’s tough to tell without anything to scale this image, but the Cooler Master SNA 95 is the smallest 95W laptop adapter around—yet still manages to integrate some convenient extras.
Measuring just 2.9 x 0.7 x 5.7, the SNA 95 includes practicalities beyond its 9 bundled tips that are compatible with most major brands of laptops (though it doesn’t appear that Macbooks are supported). The Cooler Master system also includes a cable management system, slick cool LED indicators and a USB port for whatever else might need charging.
As of now, the SNA 95 is available for $70 at one retailer. But it should pop up elsewhere soon. [Cooler Master via Crunchgear]

I just sent them a question re: whether this will charge devices that won't charge USB when fully depleted - iPhone 3G and, I think, Sony eReader 500.
If it will, and I can leave all those cords - and the bulky cords on my HP Mini netbook - home, this will definitely have a place in my luggage.
I should also ask if it is 110/220 and has built in surge protection.

Not exactly chargers, but cool nonetheless.
Of course MacBooks aren't supported. A major reason for the MagSafe connector is that it is patented and Apple doesn't license it to third-party manufacturers. It's why a new adapter will run you $90.
@urbanturban666: Won't work with the big 17" XPS, it's a 250W Power brick and has a different connector from the standard barrel connector that Dell uses on nearly all their laptops these days.
That being said, I really want one of these to toss in my Laptop carrier for my D820 Latitude.

@lessthantito: By teh way here is the SizeEasy comparison. This thing is huge.

@lessthantito: Is this actually nice? That's a serious question. Are people lugging around really huge bricks still? Because my 120W AC adapter for my Sony Vaio is a lot smaller at 4.8" x 1.2" x 2", and from other people's power bricks I have seen, it's not especially small. So the only thing this really offers is a USB port, which is nice, but not that nice.

"Measuring just 2.9 x 0.7 x 5.7"
2.9 x 0.7 x 5.7 WHAT? Cubits? Include a defining measurement here folks ...

@urbanturban666: a buddy of mine has some kind of huge assed dell xps laptop...the charging brick is the size of an xbox360s... if you won that one then you will love this charger....
urbanturban666
Belkin has a Travel Power Adapter that's comes more tips (12+1free) and also a car lighter plug. It's not as compact nor powerful (69W) as the cooler-master but does have a built-in USB charging slot too.

going a little crazy with the galleries arent we
@Hi, I'm God: That's what she said...

@TheRaven: Unfortunately,according to that site,it doesn't support the Lenovo Y710,as it uses a 135w power supply.
Guess which laptop I have-! (makes mad face)
@urbanturban666: Yea my Studio XPS 16 is about that size anyway
ab3
is it three pronged or just two?
That's because Mac isn't a major brand.
XuanDawkins
@89macrunner: No. AFAIK Apple doesn't licence the MagSafe technology to anyone which is kind of shame because many 3rd party manufacturers would make a lot better chargers than Apple itself :)
looking at the measures, doesn't seem all that small.
saych
Lenovo has had a thin power supply.
[www.notebookreview.com]
Plus you can get different adapters for your other gadgets. Different caps for your ipod, psp, or phone.
Then you only have to bring one supply and the tiny adapters and you can charge anything you bring.

Are there ANY 3rd party chargers for Apple magsafe equipped machines?

@urbanturban666: I have a Dell M1730. It's not gonna work. T_T
@Michael Scrip: Add a little hot glue and slap it to the side of your desk for a handy holder.
leotris
@mustanganator: And hopefully it wouldn't get as damn hot. If I leave my brick under a pillow I could fry some bacon on it after pulling it out.
@the_sidewinder:
Oh cool! Thank you! That makes perfect sense!
I was just commenting on my girlfriend's HP laptop that it didn't have any way to neatly wrap up its cords.
Something like this is much better.
@Michael Scrip: It's for wrapping the cable around
the_sidewinder
@Michael Scrip: it's not really a stand. It's a detachable piece you wrap the cables around.

@urbanturban666:
I have a Dell Studio XPS 13 and M1330 XPS I cant see why i would really want it. Other then a replacement if i broke my older one. The Studio xps 13 has a fairly small power adapter.
Totalfixation
I'm assuming the stand is for cooling... because everything is crammed in there it will be hot?
(horrible sentence, I know)
I agree w/ "mustanganator" and would have to say that if they had support for MacBooks (late 2008 - Aluminum body) I'd get this so I can charge my iPhone alongside my MacBook w/o using a USB port on my Mac...
David Joel Hall III
Niiice, now I only need a laptop.
I'm looking forward to the day when I can keep my laptop charged wirelessly, but this looks like the next best thing till that day comes.
PaddyDugan
i can see allot of dell xps laptop owners wanting this...
urbanturban666
no 12v output ?
CptPoland
If they had macbook support i would probably get this, it would be nice to have a spare charger that was different from the stock one.
mustanganator
Pretty nice
