When Steve jobs first showed off the iPhone back in 2006, there was one cool feature that somehow never made it out here in Australia with the iPhone 3g: Visual Voicemail. But today, Vodafone has finally launched the service for their iPhone 3G customers.To get it on your Vodafone iPhone, simply sync your phone, check for updates in iTunes and then turn your iPhone off and on.
You can save up to 20 voicemail messages on your iPhone, and the only difference to charges is that it actually requires you to use some of your data plan to work. The service will work with pre-paid plans as well, although Vodafone does make a point that they don’t have a pre-paid iPhone plan at this point in time.
Now, if only the other networks would follow suit so the rest of us don’t have to suffer with regular, boring voicemail, the world will be a much better place.
