Microsoft confirms that the 3-apps-at-a-time limit has been indeed been removed from Windows 7 Starter. But it’s missing Aero, you still can’t change the desktop background or sounds or window colours or use Windows Media Centre, so you still don’t want it. [Windows Team Blog]

hmm, so it seems like it will be the same as XP on the surface.
Report Permalinkbut u still get the cool new task bar, and directx 11 and all the other changes under the hood? depends on how cheap it is but it might be a good deal seeing as how all your missing is the pretty stuff! (for the love of god don’t tell me anyone is going to upgrade SOLELY to get aero?) as long as the default, and only, desktop background doesn’t have “YOU’RE A CHEAP SHITE!” plastered in the middle of it (hard to tell from the picture)
