Mac OS X Vulnerable to Critical Java Flaw, Windows Users’ Snide Remarks

Mac users are still exposed to a Java vulnerability that’s been public for 6 months after Apple neglected to patch it in the recent honking 10.5.7 update. Okay Windows guys, point and laugh. But if you want to be super safe, you should turn off Java in your browser, no matter what platform you’re on. [cr0 blog via Slashdot]

the most critical flaw with java is that its still slow and shit, don’t worry, we are still “vulnerable” to this on windows too. I still remember the first warning my dad gave me about the net over 10 years ago, it wasn’t “don’t click on popups” or “don’t open attachments from people you don’t know” no, it was “for the love of God, make sure you disable java script!”.

And I wouldn’t make a snide remark about this, firstly because its JAVA’s fault not apple’s, its java that has the flaw, its like; i’m vulnerable to bullets, but when a psycho shoots me, we don’t blame me for not wearing a bullet proof vest.

And secondly, because we already know that mac is just as vulnerable as pc, and thats nothing against mac, or pc. the only thing we would make a snide remark against is those “i’m a mac” ads, and we already do that! all in good fun!
