First SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Controller Is Out

Next gen USB is one step closer to reality with the introduction of the first USB 3.0 host controller chip for PCs. The new NEC’s µPD720200 chip is backwards compatible and supports speeds of 5 Gbps. [Wired]
