Dell Reports 63% Drop In Earnings, Banks On Windows 7

Everyone in tech is taking an economic beating right now, but Dell is doing particularly badly. Why? Turns out their business customers—which make up about three quarters of total sales—are buying even fewer computers than regulars folks.


Michael Dell says “We are preparing for what we believe will be a powerful replacement cycle,” which approximately translates to “If Windows 7 doesn’t drive sales, I will personally murder Steve Ballmer in the face.” [NYT]

    MichaeL Dell better hope nothing happens to Steve Ballmer after making this comment and now it appears in a publication. he will be suspect #1. Dell computers SUCK so it is NOT Microsoft that id going to save Dell. Let Dell go along with GM & Chrysler!
