Artist Jorge Colombo took about an hour to fingerpaint an intricate Times Square scene on his iPhone using Brushes, a $US4.99 iPhone drawing app. Now, it’s the June 1st cover for The New Yorker.
With the IdeaPad S12, Lenovo, as rumoured, is first out of the gates with a netbook based on Nvidia’s Ion chipset, and it’s a hell of a promising start: this 12-inch netbook promises the whole HD-playing, game-conquering Ion experience for around $US500.
Lenovo’s new summer products all share the same thrifty sensibilities, and the C300 AIO desktop is no exception. Looking at the specs, it’s roughly an Atom-based netbook. Looking at its pictures, it’s a nicely-styled desktop, not unlike the new Dell Studio all-in-one.

Rounding out the AT&T leaks is this batch from Nokia. Two are actually interesting: The odd-in-a-good-way Mako side-slider, which is an S60 phone with full QWERTY and somewhat snoozy specs. And the Thresher, which is probably the shiniest slider Nokia’s ever pooped out.
Apple really are going nuts with their retail stores at the moment. According to the Apple “job opportunities” page, there are currently positions available for a retail store in Chermside, Brisbane, making the largest shopping centre in Queensland the next home for an Apple store. More »
