truelocal iphone.jpgA free download from the App Store, TrueLocal’s iPhone app lets you find local businesses using your iPhone. If this confuses you, seek medical attention. It’s as simple as you’d expect, with the ability to use the iPhone’s GPS to find local businesses wherever you are, calling directly from search results, location maps using Google Maps and the ability to rate and review businesses.

While it’s far from the most exciting app on the App Store, it does make use of the iPhone’s SDK as well as you could expect for this kind of app, which is more than we can say for some other apps we’ve seen lately…

I love true local, so much easier to use than other websites of its kind. Shame that there aren’t more businesses on there though.

Aren’t True Local’s search results built into the Map’s app already? They’re certainly included in http://maps.google.com – If so this would seem like a bit of duplication.
