Today I am hoping to find out whether the nerdly love of gadgets extends into the realm of musical instruments. So, my question is simple: do you play?
I use my macbook and an Edirol UA-25 as my recording set up. I play guitar.
I borrow a Korg MS20 every now and again from a guy at work who used be in an elctro band from the 80′s… They were popular in Germany or something. Ha! They were no Kraft Werk though.
I have played the violin since I was 5 and recently made a plucked psaltery and harp, both of which I am in the learning phase of.
and I play in a medieval music group.
And I use Finale Printmusic for sheet music layout. (cause it’s cross platform and price friendly, unlike most of the other music editing software available)

I’ve been in IT for about 15 years, and playing drums in bands for about 20.

The banjo. Only one step less nerdy than the piano accordion.
