My First Album

Gizmodo AU

As a gift for my fifth birthday, my cousin Kylie dubbed five cassettes which would influence my taste in music forever: Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet, Van Halen’s 5150, Dire Straits’ Brothers In Arms, Icehouse’s Man of Colours and John Farnham’s Whispering Jack. But the first album I ever purchased with my own money is so embarrassing I actually contemplated lying to you all just to avoid admitting it – even to myself. 10 of the Geekiest Music Videos of All Time

Music videos are made to appeal to non-geek masses, but some were made by some bigtime nerds—while others are just are unmistakeably nerdy. You already know where we’re going with this, so let’s just move:

My First Album

I bought my first two albums, Beck’s Odelay and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ Let’s Face It, both on CD, when I was about 11 or 12. Yeah, I’m younger than Jason and Mark.

Laptop Kills Woman

My brother is notorious for watching DVDs on his laptop while speeding down the highway (I just twitter on my phone). This is why he shouldn’t.
