Lockheed Martin has made an awesome video—hosted by experimental test pilot Alan Norman—showing the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II combat airplanes, which include an exclusive view on the F-35 demon pilot helmet targeting system.
All very well, but what Australia needs is a fighter that is equal or better then the current orders being placed by other countries in our region ie,advanced Russian planes. The F35 has only ONE engine which means if it has a mechanical failure or is shot out we lose BOTH pilot and plane !! If the US renegs on the F22 for Australia we should seriously consider the top Russian types…anyway why not put ourselves in a position of improving our trade relations with Russia, afterall they have been our allie in the past as well !
