Sprinkler Hide-a-Key Conceals Your Keys in Plain Sight

12:00PM February 27, 2009 | Gizmodo US Edition

This sprinkler head may look like a typical lawn-watering device, but it really isn’t: It’s actually a key holder that will help you hide your house keys in plain view of all potential trespassers.

The $US5.99 plastic, water-tight sprinkler head comes with a screw-on top, and although it looks quite realistic, it won’t keep your pogonias alive. Even so, it seems a lot safer than hiding it in a potted plant or even more obviously, under your doormat. Or you can do what I did in college—tuck your key behind a black widow’s spiderweb and hope anyone looking to get in is afraid of spiders. [Product Page via BBG]

or for $3-4 AUD you could just buy a proper sprinkler head from Bunnings and remove the spring and shaft….
