Snowmodo: Don’t You Wish You Were Snowboarding?

7:00AM February 15, 2009 | Gizmodo US Edition

This beautiful, sharp video, captured with a Canon EOS 5D MarkII and a 15mm fisheye lens inside a protective canvas bag, really shows the mountain fun we’re missing here on the surprisingly-temperate East coast.

The video was shot at Powder Mountain, which certainly earns its name, out in Northern Utah. Makes me want to try out my patented “fall awkwardly down the mountain” ski technique again. [Vimeo]

I was also quite amazed that they managed to seemingly fix the focal point on the skier so well without the guy’s arm flapping around all over the shop. Nice find to whoever spotted the towline in that single frame.

Is it just me or is anyone else thinking this might be a bit of a viral vid for the upcoming Stoked game due for release on the 24th Feb?
