Xbox 360 Mod Gives Keyboard and Mouse Support At Long Last

8:45AM January 4, 2009 | Gizmodo US Edition

I know that no matter what controller I use, I’m awful at video games not involving Mario or Karts, but XIM’s new mod’ll surely be of interest to hardcore Xbox 360 gamers.

The XIM 2 gives Xbox 360 owners the ability to use a plug-and-play keyboard and mouse with their console. It’s available from XIM’s site for a steep $US180, but then, the ability to shoot more things even faster and more accurately has to be priceless to somebody, right? It’s available to order from their website, though you’ll have to wait a bit for shipping. [Engadget]

There’s been keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox360 for a LOOOOOOOONG time using the ‘XFPS’ adaptor :P

Try finding a real user review of the XFPS 360 sniper (latest version).
There are a lot of complaints about that system, including dead space, jerky movement, and slow reactions to quick movements.
XIM looks like it’s quite a bit more promising.

I’v beeing using the XIM 1 for a quite a long time now and it work pretty good with COD4 and 5 and those are the only two games i play and it gives me almost the same feel of PC shooters and I played alot of PC shooters, like counter-strike started off with 1.3. So its pretty good and XIM 2 is a much improved version.
