The Eee Keyboard Is Actually an Entire Touchscreen Home Theatre PC
We spotted some Asus keyboards last week, but none were nearly as potentially awesome as the official Eee Keyboard. Featuring wireless HDMI, it’s a complete computer with full QWERTY and a mini secondary touchscreen.
Asus was vague as to if/when we’ll actually see the Eee Keyboard come to market (though we’re pretty sure it’s a semi-real product), but it’s a fantastic concept for a home theatre PC if we’ve ever seen one. Through wireless HDMI you could potentially make any television into your monitor (complete with audio playback) without having some huge PC taking up space.

Processor? RAM? Yeah, we have no clue.

I assume there won’t be a TV tuner, otherwise an antenna would need to be plugged in, which defeats the purpose of it being wireless. Also, it’s not going to have a very big hard drive, so only limited media could be kept on it. Perhaps it would work well with media being stored on a NAS.
Even then, keyboards aren’t used all that much for HTPCs, so it’s a bit of a waste. I’d rather control my media with a small remote, than a huge keyboard.
Looks a though someone has just stuck an ipod touch/phone to a keyboard with a custom aluminum overlay.
Hmmm that gives me idea. I suggested it so any royalties go to me thanks.
