Palm's new, upcoming operating system (codenamed "Palm Nova"), and the accompanying device!

The second it's available in Australia, I'll be (gladly) ditching my aging Palm Centro in favour of the new device/operating system...

I want an N97... So that's on the agenda.
But most looked forward to? I have no idea. I'd really like someone to surprise the crap out of me with a cheap, powerful multitouch tablet computer that also has super battery life ;)

The rumored giant ipod touch would be nice, if it had *real* ports and proper OSX because I want such a device for making some music, not just playing it.

But I suppose the usual saga goes cheap, powerful, good battery - pick two, lol.

I also wouldn't mind some netbooks with decent screens. I think while it's not as potentially exciting as more novel technological areas, it's certainly a market that will mature a lot this year.

Wouldn't mind seeing some attractive android phones, maybe a few large capacity pmp's from iriver and the zune made available here in Oz! It is getting increasingly difficult to find anything but an ipod in stores.
I will probably change my wishlist for 2009 after CES and MacWorld kick off this year

Windows 7 does look to be a massive improvement on Vista, and I am sure my Media Center will love it, but really who can deny the pants-wetting anticipation brought about by a new Apple product?! Bring on Macworld!
