A Real Portal Gun (Well, Sort Of)

Sadly, this post won’t make any sense to you if you missed Valve’s acclaimed videogame Portal from last year. But then again, if you missed that game, your life is devoid of meaning anyway.


Developed by Aperture Science, this Handheld Portal Device is an extremely limited edition (dare I say, one of a kind?) portal generator. Illuminated with blue ad orange LEDs, the entire gun runs off of only one 9V battery and needs no ammunition. We’re not sure just how many portals can be opened before you need to replace the power source—just make sure to save some shots for the flames and turrets to come. [flickr via Kotaku]
