The reviewer clearly did not grasp the 1000S's reason for existence. The 1000s fills what I would call the "PDF" gap. Technical documents are written in PDF and PDF's are almost always in A4/Letter format and on the Kindle/Sony/Cybook/BeBook's of the world these A4 format's are scaled down to a 6" screen and nearlly impossible to read. For people that need to read PDF's very often the 1000s is an absolute must-have. The extra price is probably because the screen is so much bigger, just like a19"LCD is more expensive than a 15" once.
