I freak out when someone else uses my laptop, I think that they will change things and get viruses on there.

They might see all the things I’ve publicly posted on websites… I think it’s mostly just an irrational fear they might find something I don’t want them to see…

The only person I trust with my computer is my girlfriend. Anyone else, even the computer tech, just gives me the jitters. Not so much as I have anything they shouldn’t see, just what they might upload or install on it that I probably have no interest in.
Plus, having them “mistakenly” log into my email doesn’t instill me with the greatest confidence that they might delete something I find important.
It’s akin to having someone rifling through your office drawers or the glovebox in your car.

I discovered recently that my (now ex) girlfriend was going throug my email while I was at work. She had figured out my password. She eventually admitted to reading personal and often intimate emails going back more than three years prior to the start of our relationship. It made me feel sick that she would betray my trust at such a fundamental level. She got the answers she wanted – and it cost her a relationship.
