When cabling is done right, it can be a work of art. However, in Vietnam things have gotten out of control—as OObject points out with their list of 12 above-ground cabling disasters. [OObject]
Cabling like this is very similar in Phuket, Thailand. The only difference being that its all just above head height.
I actually saw cut off cabling taped into a coke bottle full of water hanging right in front of my face!
