The International Space Station Celebrates Its 10th Birthday
Posted by Adam Frucci at 6:00 AM on November 25, 2008
This month, the International Space Station turns 10. One of the coolest examples of humanity's huge leaps forward in technology, it's still an amazing sight to behold 10 years later. And now The Big Picture has collected over 30 photos of our beloved ISS. Hit the jump for another of my favourites and then head on over for the full spread. Long live the ISS!

How many owners has this thing had? I wouldn't step foot in it because I only invest in new property.
Obnoxious comments aside, it is an amazing accomplishment - even ten years later.

The space station is really depressing to me. It was promised to be so much more for a lot less money than what it ultimately turned into.

@GTgeek:
Wow it went down? Last time I checked was $120M. Perfect with these drops we can go in 10 years.

@vgart: It's actually been going up. When Richard Garriott first went they said he paid $20 million, and $30 million for the second trip.
