Stunning Carved Pedestal For iPhone Worship

I think it is safe to say that design student Kyle Buckner is more than just an iPhone user—he is an iPhone worshipper. After all, the iPhone sits atop his elaborate wood-carved pedestal like a King on his throne. Is this the beginning of some sort of cult? Will there be robes and chanting? Truth be told, the sculpture was carved for a school project—but throw an actual dock in there and Buckner would be the envy of Apple superfans everywhere. [Mac|Life]

I can't believe the "maturity" I have seen posted about my younger brother's school project!! I happen to be VERY proud of him and his MANY achievements!! He is NOT ill or sick, just creative!! So, I have to ask. Why would you go to all that trouble, make such an elaborate thing, and then not have a dock in it? I mean, it would have taken one cable. And also, I think this guy has an illness- I don't care what kind of project this was for, this is a sign of a serious problem.

Pretty impressive though. Except for the stupid yellow cover thing. Could definitely make a cool display for the stores. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple started using something like this

has anyone else noticed the auspicious fact that the leaf on the apple logo on the top is in no way connected to the apple? I'm guessing that the little row of pixels going left is a wire or something, but if it isn't, then that means that this was shooped.

Since this is displayed at a school of 30,000 people, I just bought a case from an apple store that had the fake home screen printed out on paper that fit inside the case. So thats all thats displayed in the pictures. Sorry , if i would have known it would have been such a big deal to you, LIQUIDSG, i should have taken it with my real one.@thecodingeye:

I thought about painting it, but i was not sure what the teacher would say about it. And plus if it was painted, i didn't think that anyone would believe it was wood. I will have another one out for sure though, now that i know how this one was thrown all over the internet. And it will be shiny!
