Secret Kinetic Rocket Fire Balls Can Create Hell Anywhere
Posted by Jesus Diaz at 8:20 AM on November 13, 2008
They are secret. They are kinetic. They are made of rubberised rocket fuel. And they fire up destroying absolutely everything they come across, bouncing through bunkers, filling buildings with extremely hot flames, obliterating everyone and anything inside with fierce heat. The Pentagon officially calls them "kinetic fireball incendiaries". Other people call them kinetic rocket fire balls, and the way they work make them absolutely terrifying weapons.
The difference between these fireballs and other high-temperature incendiary weapons like the CrashPAD or the Shredder--two modified bombs designed to eliminate Weapons of Mass Destruction--is that these don't do a good job on keeping hazardous substances under control. Once the bomb--made of explosive and incendiary material--hits the target, there's always an ejection of material to the atmosphere, which could be dangerous for the population or the troops.
The kinetic rocket fire balls, however, don't explode. Once they hit their target--delivered by a modified bomb--and ignite, they just bounce randomly finding their way across every part of the structure. In the process, they emit an extremely high temperature flame, vapourising everything around them at 1,000ΒΊF (538ΒΊC). This behaviour, bouncing everywhere and reaching every place, makes them extremely effective at destroying any kind of substance or contents in the structure.
In fact, these Weapons of Bouncy Destruction can be used against both chemical or bacteriological facilities, as well as nuclear facilities, without breaking the buildings and spreading radioactivity. For now, they are "secret" and have never been used in real action--or so they said--but they have been tested successfully in underground bunkers and may be already under limited production.
And yes, you can cue in the Jerry Lee Lewis. Now. [Danger Room]

@ekow2kn3: Aw, come on, who doesn't like a bit of danger in their hot potato? In this case, it's that your hands and lower arms may get vaporized, and the rest of you will get the skin melted off!

For you DIY people, you can do this with alcohol based mosquito repellent and a tennis ball. Almost burned down my cabin at summer camp. Luckily it burned through the screen door after putting holes in a few sleeping bags.

If they stopped using liquid napalm, I doubt they'd use bouncy solid napalm much either.

Goodness gracious! Didn't one of the X-Prize rockets use a granulated rubber fuel? (I think Rutan's.) Something similar here perhaps?

Imagine if they didn't ignite though? Boy, that would sure be embarrassing. All the enemy soldiers would just play four square and have a beach party.

@DrifterTypeR: only against the Geneva convention if its main use is against other humans. Since this bouncy fireball is primarily used against building and such they can get a way with it. 50 cal's are against the geneva convention when used against another human, but since their used against "vehicles" they're legit.

all right...since when do we rip off pictures off Jehovah's Witness propaganda??? My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses and they always showed me that picture (the picture is cropped...there's more destruction in that picture.... even a cat getting the axe) to scare me into believing in a god.

That song sucked.. I listened to that song when I was a kid, because my mom liked the classics (ie: had no taste for good music obviously)
And I have to say 15 years later and even with the maturity of age, the song still sucks, although now I am questioning why people would even think about liking it.
@Article about Bouncing 1000Degree Balls of Fire... That's just plain scary. I mean it really is. And just think, this is the stuff we know about. Why can't we just stick to the old fashioned Guns, and Grenades, at least you can find away to survive that maybe. (Which is probably the problem for a lot of people)

@lrbreckenripple:
Are you joking? Having the capability to destroy weapons of mass destruction or disable nuclear facilities without releasing radiation/ biological/ chemical contaminants into the surrounding area is one hell of a worth while weapon. The major drawback to taking out such facilities is the fact that currently thousands to millions could die in surrounding areas.
