@aznxenocide: As if the ad infested plastic cups they already use are pertinent elsewhere? If the technology was licensed by a league or a specific beer company or two it might make it easier to get any league wide adoption.

Man, add one of those RFID based payment sensors to this thing and you don't even need to really deal with the cashier (assuming you are ok with drinking the exact same thing every time).

Also, it's an injection molded plastic cup, with or without a hole in the bottom, it's going to cost fractions of a cent to make, and won't materially contribute to any increase in cost whatsoever. Not that it wouldn't be marked up, just that such a markup would be pure profit on the part of the manufacturer.

at the Texas Rangers field they lease beer taps that can fill your beer in ~2 seconds.

and it isn't a 'concept' like the "scotsman trufill"...

I'll send details to the tip line if I can remember the name of the taps.... the design/hardware is leased out by the patent owner, which means you can't buy it - but it is one heck of a business approach for making money.
