Thanks John, but $429 was a bit rich for that Panasonic DMP-BD30K a year ago. Love Panasonic, but not at that price.

Very very interested in seeing what you think Nick. I’ve been checking the Kogan site out the last couple of weeks wondering what their 32″ Full HD LCD TV and the Blue Ray drive is like.

Sounds pretty good actually. If it decodes True-HD internally and outputs it over analog audio I'll seriously consider this player despite my normal dislike of budget players. The closest alternative with region free capability is around $1100 so this could be a huge bargain.

I'd like to know how the boot up time is though, as that's the one thing I don't want to give up from my PS3 (not that I'll be getting rid of the PS3 regardless!)
