T-Mobile G1 Now Shipping

According some Phandroid readers, T-Mobile is now shipping the G1 via UPS 3-day delivery. In case you just came from that five-year trip to Tierra del Fuego, the G1 is the first Google Android OS-based smartphone. This means that the phone will be in T-Mobile customer hands by, at the very latest, the 21st. [Phandroid]

Example: I ordered mine the first day it was open for ordering, so now I see today (the 15th),
    “Billing Information Received
    10/14/2008 9:50 PM”
… on the UPS tracking site. That’s not exactly saying that it is on its way, but hey – I’m just happy to see the ball rolling.

    From the T-Mobile site:
To track your order using the UPS Web site, perform the following steps:
    1. Access the UPS Tracking Web site.
    2. In the Shipment Reference text box, enter your 10-digit T-Mobile number in the following format: XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Here we go – though I [pre]ordered on day #1, this is the state of my UPS tracking:
“Your package is in the UPS system and has a rescheduled delivery date of 10/21/2008″
… a whomping 1 day before the announced date.
