Rumour: Best Buy to Carry T-Mobile G1 from October 26th
Posted by John Herrman at 8:50 PM on October 1, 2008
A purported screenshot of a Best Buy sales terminal indicates October 26th as the day that the first Android phone will be showing on shelves at the retailer. Accompanying screenshots hint at an unlocked Treo Pro as well, meaning Best Buy will soon sell arguably the four most desirable phones on the market. Whether or not there will even be any G1s left for Best Buy to sell is a different story altogether. [BGR]

I was actually wondering if this would happen. Given the "open" nature of the Android project, it wouldn't surprise me to see the G1 being sold in all authorized T-Mobile retailers.

Four most desirable phones? Not hardly.
HTC FTW!

@glinden9: Um, the G1 is made by HTC.

I would buy a phone made by Sony Ericsson sooner than I would buy any of those 4 pieces of scrap.

This is a screen of the back end inventory system at Best Buy. No reason to fake that on your camera phone. I used it all the time to find out which stores would have Wiis in stock soon.
Pretty sure its real and honestly underwhelming that you'd second guess it as it's just an Android phone being released. Ooh...Cookies!
See how underwhelming Android is for the time being.
