Personalise Your Own Flip Mino, But Remember: No One Wants to See Your Butt Cheeks on a Camcorder

Flip Mino, one of the best cheap camcorders money can buy, can now be personalised to your heart's delight. The new Flip site allows you to choose from hundreds of pre-made designs, upload your own image a la Skinit, or make a one-of-a-kind pattern using their awesomely trippy pattern generator. Better still, you can share your designs with the Flip community, and any camera sold with your image will score you $US10. If you're the giving kind, you can donate the proceeds to charity as well. But times are tough, and after dropping $US180 on the Mino, your beer money fund looks like a worthy cause. [Flip]

Apparantly I'm dyslexic. I read Flip Mino as Filipino. I certainly don't want to go to a store and ask to buy the new Filipino I read about on the Internet. Talk about a faux pas...

Couldn't you just print out your own 'skin' and stick it on whatever device you want to customize? If you took your time, used good materials and did a good job it wouldn't look too cheesy.

I sell stuff on cafepress, and now they have an option of designing skins for the Flip too. Sounds like they're selling a camera with different designs instead of skins though...

I've been wanting this gadget and now I want it even more. But I wish Flip would integrate replaceable shells rather than one permanent paintjob.
