@AeroBrat: So you and many people the world over say, I personally don't choose to subscribe to that train of thought. At this point I equate the argument over Global Climate change and man's role in it, to the argument with people and their belief of God. Some people either believe in God, or don't (I don't), and there's not a lot anyone can do to dissuade or convert people no matter what their opinion. I think that there is enough anecdotal information out there to contradict what a majority of the "experts" say. You don't think big corporations (like the oil companies) with a vested interest have anything to say about some of the results that are presented by "experts" on the other side of the fence? I'm not a huge conspiracy nut, I've just got a healthy sense of cynicism mind you, and always seem to remember how some "experts" said there was no harm in smoking back in the 70's and 80's thanks to the big tobacco companies. Whatever the case I'm choosing not hide my head in the sand with this, and instead now try to change things I do everyday.

I think that if you look at our Carbon emissions from the turn of the last century until now (as we developed as a nation) you'll see that we (the US of A) have done some major damage. Your argument always kills me. We (in the US of A again) still pollute and grossly misuse our resources! Sure China is pig now, however there are way more Chinese in China with just as much need as any American, plus there still a little behind the curve. In most respects they're still developing as a nation and aren't as technologically advanced as the rest of the western world. When people use your argument it always comes off as pot color kettle black... Plus how do you expect them to be green when almost all of worlds Walmart's crap is manufactured there by little chinese children (ok that last bit was a bit of a cheap shot... I kid I kid!)?!? Seriously though How can we expect a nation that's still developing like China, about to come into it's own as a huge economic power, to follow a greener path when we (again in the good ole' US of A) don't do it ourselves???

@Elasticity: I wish I could, however as it now stands I live about 30 miles away from the school I attend. It's just not very economically sound for me to live in the same town that I go to school to. I unfortunately don't live in a huge metropolitan area, with everything I need immediately around me, and never could get by without a car (kind of goes with the territory of living in LA).
