gday, well am an installer and would mount this for $200 inc a 3m a/v and coa cable, and noggins are never an issue, unless in a bedroom where tv is up high, not sure good deal there??? also when mounting you want it to be a statement, would suggest approx 250-300mm higher than cabinet thus creating the illusion the tv is a picture upon itself??

again big business taking over the world, the small man will always do a better job as its 'their'name and not a number....

and remember only a 12mth warranty....what?????

While your wall mount looks nice, I don’t understand the point of it. Sure, if you don’t have a cabinet then it makes sense but you could achieve the same by just sitting it on top of that entertainment unit.

I knew you had a Yammy receiver before I read the article when I saw your iPod dock :)

Don't know whether it can (it doesn't seem to with my new nano), but it would be good if the dock could take the video output from the iPod as well.

Oh and I 2nd attila's "early settler" comment. :P

What model Yammy AV receiver is that?
Also, I think it looks odd having a bare top cabinet there like that. It needs 'something' -- or a different type of cabinet altogether - perhaps something more slimline which will still fit your av gear. It is for this reason that we're going to not wall mount in our house as we didn't have the cash to splash for a designer unit that looks 'right'.

The TV looks nice on the wall though!

looking snazzy, but i think the only reason i’d ever mount a tv was for hidden cabling, and if you’re a renter, or if it’s as hard as you say it is, i guess it’s better not to try!

nice nick. I was telling my girlfriend last night that ill get a 50 incher next year when i finish studying in feb. My problem is im still renting so no wall mounting for me. Very usefull article anyway.
Still a xbox bluray drive for dark knight would be better...

If you can fit all your Blu-ray and DVD's in there then you have GOT to see my collection. I'm talking two+ full bookshelves/bookcases whatever they are called.

Nice cable management though, looks like he fit the wii reciever cable in too.
