@wanago: If you use a metal/glass bowl that significantly insulates the plastic from the heat you'd probably be fine. I'm not saying that I would try it, but I don't think anyone is just going to stuff weed into a plastic tube and lite up...

Friend of mine worked at Tower Records back when there was a Tower Records and it was actually doing well. The majority of his co-workers were perpetually high on a galaxy of substances, and when somebody took a lunch break only to realize they'd forgotten their bowl at home, this is exactly what they would do. Bic pen and all. Never underestimate the give-a-shit factor of the committed teenage slacker.

If you really wanted to smoke "something" out of this pen, you could easily fashion a bowl out of aluminum foil that could go in there.

Necessity IS the mother of invention. A "friend" of mine found themselves in situation of software with no hardware and creatively cut a hole in the side of an empty toilet paper roll, in which they placed a piece of aluminum foil with tiny holes poked in it to act as a screen and tokerator. Worked pretty good.

I'm no connoisseur of fine smokeables... but wouldn't the plastic pen melt if you tried to smoke from it? If it melts that easy to form it in that shape in the first place.
