They should not have fired their best sales people a few years back, no wonder they are going down. Serves them right. Let it be a lesson to all retail opertaions, if you want really good sales, pay, keep, and nuture your really good salespeople. Retail success takes true talent to stay afloat.

Im an X-cc worker who was nearly laid off when they laid of all those workers.Im so glad to see this company go down it serves them right for cutting out the most important part of their business:Knowledgable Staff,thought it would save them a few bucks NOW WHERE YOU AT CCITY????

My heart goes out to the employees. I'm struggling with finding a stable company to work for. Just goes to show why working for a company anchored in debt is futile.

Here in the U.S. Best Buy is cutting cost by drastically reducing payroll. They are telling their employees that this is the final step in “putting Circuit City out of business by the 1st of the year.”

Having been an employee at Circuit City and now currently employed at Best Buy, it is no wonder why Circuit is going under. Their training program is almost nonexistent, and their product lineup is absolutely laughable. Best Buy has an extensive training program, requiring at least a month of training before being certified to sell, they always have top of the line products, and they actually treat us like human beings.

On the side, I now find it funny that Circuit City spent all their time worrying about Best Buy and how to catch them, while now that I am at Best Buy, all we worry about is Wal-Mart, and even they are hardly on the radar.

Less is better and let Circuit City “short circuit.” They totally sucked, and had ridiculously high prices when compared to the competition. They very rarely had any real deals and were poorly managed. Just like Starbucks with their lack of and then LAME ASS promotions, they will fail too. Goodbye ShortCircuit City…..GOODBYE.
