If you are looking for a good prosumer Canon camera, then you will only have to wait four more days. According to a Best Buy tipster, and this leaked screenshot of their stock system, the Canon EOS 50D will arrive on October 5.

Oh Best Buy,
How you give the tech world everything without even knowing.
Thank you employees.
I have an interview there next Monday, but I must say, if I get the job, NO I AM NOT TAKING SCREENSHOTS!!
(NOTE: don't reply with comments about how Best Buy sucks when it comes to working there, I've received enough of those already)

@CoolTri:
No, they finally realized that was a stupid policy and people were ripping them off by doing exactly what you suggest. Now electronics has a 90 day return window.

I wonder if Costco will take back my 20D? I can use an upgrade.

Except the 50D has already arrived. There are already quite a few people with their hands on them and posting reviews on forums. All that screen shot shows is BB are getting theirs late.

I actually got mine yesterday from Samy's Camera in Los Angeles. I put my name on a waiting list the day it was announced and it looks like I was one of the first to receive it. Comparing it to the 40D..... the biggest difference I can immediately see is that the 50D's monitor is extremely sharp! The menus have changed a bit but they're still easy to use without having to resort to the manual. The only major downside right now is that Adobe doesn't have its RAW conversion updated for this camera yet. They usually update within two months of a release though.

@citizensmith: RELLY?!? No way. This i knew. Also i bought my camera before they change that policy so I should still be covered. That and there is nothing wrong with my camera. I hate people that do that and ruin a good thing.

I have mine already. In Thailand they're in the shops already. Good AF performance compared to my 5D but not a main camera for me, but will be a really nice back up.
