AirG: The Wii Guitar that Fits in Your Palm
Posted by Mark Wilson at 3:06 AM on October 8, 2008
While games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero require huge peripherals to play, the AirG for the upcoming Wii title PopStar Guitar fits in your hand. Just slip the Wiimote into the AirG case and you can rock out wirelessly with four fret buttons (sans strum bar). The game will run $US60 but include two AirGs right out of the box. The PS2 version of the game will settle with using existing toy guitars to play. Available this November, it's a simple peripheral, but we have to appreciate the easy storage as we trip over these fancy Rock Band 2 drums. [PopStar Guitar]

I don't know much about the Wii, but if the Nunchuck has a motion sensor, it would make an excellent "strum bar" in conjunction with this attachment..

This looks sweet. Using the nunchuck to strum would give an awesome air guitar experience.

I can just imagine dropping it a dozen times during a song going from Blue to Green real quick.

Doesn't jumping around like a stupid maniac with a small toy guitar provide most of the fun for these types of games?

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the finger dents make the wiimote look even more so like a dildo?

This is like being stuck on Medium level in Rock Band. Forever.

Looks like it just mechanically pushes through to A, -, 1, and 2. The button action if that is the case would be inconsistent and generally unpleasant. I hope I'm wrong.

Yet another cheap Wii gimmick, I can still see this somehow being adapted (w/ hacks) to the GH series.
