Actually, he is on record in several interviews as being a Mac user for years and years...so it really doesn't have a whole lot to do with him 'working for Apple' (technically, he was working for the ad firm when doing those commercials).

That is a New York subway car, although it's not the 7th Avenue line (1, 2, or 3 trains), which would take him to my neighborhood, which is where he lives, (unless he has recently moved). I saw him with his wife last year in my Manhattan neighborhood, and they were walking a baby carrier with an infant in it. (I seem to remember that this older child was also waking with them.) I wasn't sure it was him and didn't want to stare, so I walked on ahead to a pizza parlor a couple of block north where I wanted to get dinner. As I waited on line at the pizza parlor, I stood gazing out the door, and Hodgman and his wife came walking by and I was certain it was him. As soon as I got home I looked in the Manhattan phone book and confirmed that he lives (or lived, if he has moved) only four blocks from me.

Mayor Bloomberg takes the train to work everyday, and he's worth around $20 billion. The fact that this actor is on the train is no big deal, not everyone on the subway is poor or some sort of subordinate! Its the best way to travel in the NYC.. well if you don't have a helicopter. :-)
