Thanko Magnetic Earring-Clip Earphones Can Make You Look like a Pirate

Thanko's Sounds Live magnetic earphones aren't quite in-the ear, and they don't have a head-strap: instead these odd gizmos clip onto your earlobe and have a speaker that points roughly into your ear canal. I guess it's kinda like the the bone-conducting type headphones in that you can hear your surroundings, and if you're listening to music while jogging then the magnets mean they probably won't fall off (though your lobes may take a pounding). Plus they're designed to be decorative, acting like "real" earrings...and there's a skull and crossbones version—perfect, me hearties, since it's international Talk Like a Pirate Day. Pretty cool. Though for $18 bucks one can't really hope for good things in the quality department.

I dont know how strong these magnets are, but if they are anything near the pressure of clip earrings, your ear lobe will hurt in a very short period of time. I also hope people remember to take the clips off before talking on the phone.

I want them. I'm always wearing my regular earphones in a loop back over my ear and hanging down in front of the canal, because I can't stand earphones jammed in for extended periods.
As for quality, I'm not picky, these will sound good enough for me.
Of course, they probably won't be available where I live.
