New Zune Colours Revealed in 3.0 Software

While digging through the new Zune 3.0 software, a Zuneboards forum member discovered several new colours on 120GB and 16GB Zunes for those who want to branch out from basic black. From the looks of things a blue, white and red version are in the mix—available in different colour configurations that could include a black or silver backing. Obviously, none of this has been confirmed yet—but hopefully there will be more to come. [zuneboards]

I love my 4gb for running and my 80gb for traveling. I am a little jealous of the new fancy price on the 16gb though...
ps: the white looks gross IMO, apple did away with it in their iPods, shouldn't that be a sign?

The 120GB Zune Originals are only available in black. The 80GB Zune Originals are available in red and black.

Damn I like that white one. I would so give up an iPod for that. Finally, competition. Yay! No more apple monopoly hopefully. They seriously need to fix the iTunes/ iPod mess. I hate that everyone has an iPod. No originality...

Hrmm. Still on the fence about upgrading to the 120, right now i have 14g free on the 80, but when I get home from work and start playing with the MixView I'm guessing that 14g is going to shrink dramatically.

@OMG! Ponies!: No chance! It's Apple for crying out loud! They can update every year and they will sell like hot cakes. The whole iTunes/iPod tethering thing is so annoying as I would kill for a Zune to work on a mac with iTunes.... I can live in hope

I dunno about that blue, I would've like it more cobalty. What happened to their pink? The pink with the frosty white exterior actually looked pretty good, and the wifey wanted it.

I was trying to decide between a 120GB iPod or a Zune, and if MS confirms these new colours, it'll be Zune, no contest...Zunes are at least somewhat compatible with iTunes right?

All these colours are nice looking. The white one is good for those of us who wanted a white iPod and haven't gotten one for two years now.

Yay! for blue, My dream s always been a bigger hard drive Color change for a Zune, and Blue, 120GB, my otha zune just got broke, near Christmas/Birthday time, PERFECT!

@witnessx: The flash Zunes are still available in pink, I believe. I think the assumption is that wifeys are more likely to want the smaller flash players than the big HDD players.

peacefulpony - Are you serious? I know you say you are not an ipod fan, but you sure sound like one. I think you feel threatened by the fact that there seems to be a strong hint across the web today that the Zune has finally evolved to a point where it may in fact have advantages over it's rival ipod. For everyone who wants a unit with storage above 32, clearly this is the superior product (although it has been with the release of the 80 last year).
