New HTC Touch Diamond Is White Like the Colour White

We know, there are other, more exciting HTC touchscreen phones one their way. But you shouldn't forget about the good old Touch Diamond just yet. Why? Because, it's coming to stores (somewhere) in white this October. Though in a similar fashion to the iPhone 3G, the back may have a new coat, but the front panel still comes in black only (probably to help the display's colours pop). Here's the mega pic version:

What's the point of turning the whole thing into white when you still have the front coloured in black?
Might as well add a white rear cover instead!

just curious since i haven't used an HTC touch screen since HTC Touch.
does windows mobile do touch input/navigation like (i know, i'm that guy now too) the iphone? or is it still pretty choppy/unstable/unusuable?
i swear i'm no apple fanboy; but damn the iphone and its very smooth interface!! (i defended the htc touch over the iphone until i used an iphone.. hehe)

@seamonkey420: I'm not too sure but from videos I've seen of the Diamond the operators have to repeat taps for them to register so I'm guessing it's not there yet. I've yet to use a touch screen as responsive as the iPhone but I can't wait for some competition in that area from HTC.

I so desperately want this phone with android. I've been waiting for about a year as all the good pda-phones use windows mobile or cost 'poo' loads.
Will it be cheap as it's running a free open-source OS? or will it be the same price as a palm/mac/windows mobile?
