Miele's New Giant Fridge Can Double as a Morgue
Posted by Jesus Diaz at 10:00 PM on September 2, 2008
I don't know if these fridges are the norm in the US, but it seems to me like Miele's latest giganormous fridge from their Master Cool line--shown here at IFA 2008--has to be the biggest fridge ever available to megalomaniac consumers and potential serial killers. They should christen it The Walk-In Fridge, because this thing is so big that you can fit a cow inside. So huge in fact that I won't be able to put it in my apartment's living room. Actually, I think can put my entire living room and bedroom inside during the summer months. [More IFA 2008 Coverage]

Is there a freezer on the bottom? If you entertain a lot, have a big family or a small restaurant, maybe.
Think how much beer you could get in there!

These fridges are the norm in high volume restaurants maybe, but most of them have walk-in coolers.
And why would I want to store the bodies? I could store the limes in the fridge.

Yes, I need a fridge this size to serve as a constant reminder that I never have enough food in the house and need to grocery shop pretty much continually to keep this from looking pitiful.

Looks as if its a freezer / Fridge combo. Which would make sense ... kinda ... if you have a big kitchen.

You think THAT's large? For a time (between highschool and college, also known as the dark years) i worked in an industrial refrigerator factory in Pacific, MO (True Manufacturing). If you've ever worked in a restaurant, you've seen these fridges. The smaller reach-in coolers are common in gas stations and supermarkets, holding bottles and cans of soda.
On to the point: The T-72 was a 3 door monstrosity. One large section was a cooler, and the third door was a freezer. Each door was 36" across.
It would squish this thing.

I think I'd just rather have a walk-in cooler.
They're cooler.

American size fridge!
@Eunichs: That fridge is commercial, the Meile is for home use.

Some of us dispose of our victims in such a way that refrigerator size is irrelevant. Honestly, you'd think that people hadn't heard of axes, shovels, lime and the Jersey Pine Barrens.

Fantastic for the fat ass Americans. I couldn't believe how fat people have gotten on a recent trip to Disney World.

@OMG! Ponies!: True, but sometimes after I cover myself in mud to hide from the eyes of Satan, I find myself pretty pressed for time. Something like this would be an AMAZING time saver for us blossoming psycho killers - just toss em' on in and go! No dock for my iPod though... }:-(

I have a 48" fridge but the thing about them is that they aren't as deep as standard fridges. It much more convenient because all of your food is visible and not hidden deep within the fridge. They're also what's called counter depth so they don't stick out as much as standard fridges and give the whole kitchen a much sleeker look.

@cygnusx8: Seconded. I have a pair, fridge and freezer, 60" wide and 24" deep, give or take. Lovely and easy to see and get at their contents. Both mounted on an 8" high plinth... The beauty of doing your own custom install, never have to bend down to get stuff from the veggie drawers again :-)

@OMG! Ponies!: Quoth Brick Top:
And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

Wow! I would only have to clean that out like once every 5 years. With the little 22' side-by-side I've got now, the green mold from the restaurant leftover boxes mixes with the brown sludge oozing out of the pizza delivery boxes and pretty much takes over the whole place in only about a year.
