MC Hammer Takes Time from His Busy Schedule to Play with Microsoft Surface
Posted by Sean Fallon at 8:40 AM on September 12, 2008
MC Hammer was out of commission for a while there but he appears to be back in big way. First we saw him in a full-on parody for Monday Night Football, and now he has been spotted enjoying the Microsoft Surface at the TechCrunch 50 conference. If I were the one wearing Hammer Pants in the '80s, I would try to avoid public scenarios that invite obvious jokes—but he seems to have come to terms with his past. @Antioch18: No it would still be "can't" because no body can afford it yet.

What is with Mc Hammer and his interest in new technologies? I remember there was video of him visiting the Youtube offices when they had like 6 employees.

@Mr.SithNinja: I have a pandora station called "Old School"
I really enjoy 80's rap. Hell, even some more modern stuff.
Plus, I've seen Hammer in concert. (In my defense, Boyz 2 Men was opening for him.) He put on a good show.

I was hoping it was Microsoft that had him promoting surface, then they would at least be intentionally ironic.

"You can touch this", if sung with completely different inflection than the original (see: "You can touch this?"), could be effing hilarious.
Wait, wait ... you can touch this?
