[new tabs open between the tab you have open and the closest tab rather than putting new tabs at the end.]

I don't see this behavior. In my experience, new tabs definitely open on the right regardless of which tab is open.

So far, I like Chrome a lot, enough to make it my default browser, which for a beta is impressive. (I have used a Mozilla product for six years.) I have some minor peeves (home button, a bookmark button independent of the bookmark toolbar) and would like to see extensibility and some customization options, but this is a fantastic pre-release 1.# beta. Blistering speed and at least as stable as Firefox if not more so. (That said, part of the speed might be due to the absence of a highly customizable code-base.)

I also cannot scroll up with my HP dv8610us on XP. Note: HP never made XP drivers for this model. I'm using an earlier driver: Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad version 10.0.13.2.
