BrickArms Zombie Defence Weapons Pack Features Glowing Minifig Zombie Head
Posted by Jack Loftus at 5:00 AM on September 29, 2008
When we last heard from Lego minifig arms dealer BrickArms, they were telling our own Jesus Diaz all about their line of grenade launchers, assault rifles, and other plastic death-dealing wares. This weekend, in preparation for BrickCon 2008, the outfit has teamed up with The Brothers Brick to protect Legoland from the zombie horde. Zombie movie aficionados will immediately recognise a few weapons staples in this pack, which includes shotguns, bipods, and those backup weapons you'll inevitably need when the main arsenal runs out of ammo.
The full weapons pack includes:
* SW500 Magnum Revolver (for stopping power; x2)
* M21 Sniper Rifle (for keeping your distance)
* Mk48 Mod 0 Machine Gun
* AK Assault Rifle (doesn't jam as easily as the M4/M16)
* Uzi Submachine Gun (x2)
* Bipod (x2) and Monopod (x3)
* Combat Shotgun (brand-new prototype)
* M1 Garand Rifle (in black)
* M1 1911 .45 Pistol (backup weapon #1)
* Baseball Bat (backup weapon #2)
* Glow-in-the-dark Zombie Head
The pack will be available for sale at the BrickArms booth at BrickCon 2008, next week. [BrickArms via Brothers Brick]

@B.Zanetti:
Or, as cliche as it might be, a cricket bat. That's what i'd like to see.

@e-friend: In the previous interview with the guy who makes the weapons, he said Lego have been quite supportive and wanted to see what he was doing. I'm guessing Lego don't mind that much.

crowbar? isn't the crowbar important? I feel like on the fringe of my memory I remember a crowbar made by Lego though...

Out of curiosity, does this "infringe" on LEGO? I'm sure they could make the argument if they wanted to. Anyway, a great set. LEGO L4D anyone?

Bottom rifle looks more like an M1 Carbine rather than the Garand. The carbine is a much better zombie weapon.

@e-friend: Also, Brickarms does say that they are in no way affiliated with the Lego Corporation. The packaging also does not say "Lego" on it.

@Kaiser-Machead: i agree. the zombie's expression is slightly Clint Eastwood-esque.

The Zombie head looks like it belongs on a sick cowboy than a zombie. It needs more rotted out patches on the face, and maybe a dumber, more ghoulish scowl. Just sayin'.

@WildWon: Cliches are the reason Zombie movies and games still exist :p

And every zombie survival kit needs a Lobotomizer.

I have several mini-fig weapons from Brick Arms. They are excellent quality and look pretty damn cool, too.
(Honestly, not related to the site, just a fan.)

@t1bbs: Because all of those can be built using "official" LEGO pieces. In fact, Milla Jovovich is herself built from standard LEGO bricks.
