280,951 Post-its Create Spectacular Army of Slinkies
Posted by Mark Wilson at 6:00 AM on September 12, 2008
Eepybird, the same company that brought you a series of professional level Diet Coke and Mentos clips, have created an equally if not more remarkable video of 280,951 Post-its submitting to gravity while simultaneously creating some sort of new genre of office art. It's worth a click...and then another. [via Geekologie]

Omigod, a great find--fabulous! And kudos to the filmmakers for actually giving this piece great production values (not the way-too-typical YouTube schlock eforts). Very slick (in a good way), wtf jaw-dropping fun.

Nice!
Though they say "Nothing but sticky notes" but you can see they had to add some sort of weight to the ends.
Still, very cool.

@AHemp:
Hmm, let's see...
280,951 sheets ÷ 90 sheets per pad = ±3122 pads
Pads cost ± $1.67 each (Office Depot)
So, about $5,213 (plus tax).
Frankly, if they didn't get PAID by Post-It® for product placement, they're fools. You realize how many bored office workers there are in corporate America? After seeing this video...

There is a quick method that turns quality YouTube clips to amazing high quality ones. Not HD but still pretty damn good.
A prime example:
+ Watch video
Type &fmt=18 at the end of the URL and see for yourself.

For those who think this was wasted paper, all they did when this was done was pick it up off the floor and put it back into the supply room. No trees were harmed in the making of this clip.

yep, it's awesome, but in a sad, pathetic sort of way. first of all, it's amazing that these people had so much extra time on their hands that they even did this, and second, that they went so far as to make a decent film! and one of them was sooooo bored that he apparently made the effort to count EVERY SINGLE POST-IT NOTE.
