Straw Lamp Seems Like a Sucky Art Project (In a Good Way)

If you've got 1,500 straws lying around the house—and i mean, who doesn't—then boy do we have the project for you! The straw lamp can be a unique addition to your decor throuh what looks like a few hours of work that requires little to no coordination. (Essentially, you stick the straws into a cylindrical mesh and after repeating several times you get this neato lamp.) Bonus points to anyone who fits a forty in the middle and links all the straws for a good group suckfest. [addicted2decorating via gearfuse]

Actually this thing might be interesting if it were hooked to an air compressor, and all the straws were filled with spit wads. With lots of hot ladies standing around in wet t-shirts.

A good group suckfest? Seriously? Equated to drinking a 40oz? I can say, that's not the first thing that ran to my mind after reading that phrase. Well done.
I made a potato lamp in middle school once. No suckfest with that one though.

I wouldn't think these straw lamps would last very long. They would either over heat and melt or fade in color.

While turning a 40 oz. into a trough sounds fantastic, just know that someone will be purposefully putting backwash into the mix.
