SpeakingObject: A Voice Synthesiser Driven by Your Quaking Annoyance

The speakingObject is a voice-synthesising board that's easily tweaked with two buttons and a typical three-axis accelerometer. What's that mean? You get a completely original, vaguely human techno-ready track with the flick of a wrist. And yes, it's only a matter of time before some tripped-out a'hole at a concert is doing this right next to you while waving his iLighter high in the air. [joerg via bbGadgets]

Just to be particular, a "phoneme" is actually a unit of particular sound in a specified language. It's not actually just any sort of awful noise you can make with a computer chip.

Ask my girlfriend, I can do all that myself in the bathroom with a toothbrush and a cup of water. It is Beyond a doubt, one of the most incredibly annoying things you'll have ever seen/heard.

Couldn't you get the same effects from manhandling an AM radio circuit board in a similar manner?
Heck, ground out the right antenna terminals on an AM radio and it'll send the tuner into the shortwave bands where you might have something INTERESTING to listen to.
I mean...NICE!
